This September saw Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) walking through Colombo, Sri Lanka, promoting the green agenda under the banner ‘Striking a Balance for a Greener Tomorrow’.

WiLAT, part of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) family, hosted the five kilometre walk in partnership with Earth Hour, an open source movement organised by WWF and volunteer organisations worldwide.

Over 500 people took part in the walk, which included a float building competition between students from Colombo International Nautical & Engineering College’s Maritime Campus, as well as Kotelawala Defence University and Moratuwa University, the overall winners.
