Bucyana Murekezi is preparing to apply for full CILT country branch status for Rwanda.  Rwanda was the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to order a total shutdown in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The government ordered a lockdown on 21 March 2020 when there were just six cases of Covid-19 in the region.

Bucyana has prepared a report detailing measures taken in Rwanda in response to the pandemic, and considers business opportunities and measures to encourage business continuity, alongside challenges presented by Covid-19 and responses to it. Read the full report for more information on how the government is managing the risk in Rwanda.

This is an example of analysis from Rwanda, prepared by Bucyana Murekezi, which we are sharing as part of our global best practice resource to help you think about and determine appropriate responses locally.
