When I became a member of the Institute in 1995 the purpose was to join a professional community, improve my skills and network with likeminded people and that is exactly what the Institute is all about.

What also drew me to the Institute was the fact that it is a charity and works on a not-for-profit basis to support its members and every penny made is invested back into maintaining and building the organisation. I like that.

During my career in supply chain management having held director level positions for more than 15 years, the institute has been an invaluable partner on my journey, both keeping me up to speed with the latest thinking and provided the means to improve standards for the people working for me.

I am proud to have been given the opportunity to serve on the board and to be able to give my time and knowledge for others to hopefully have the same experience.
