I have been a member of the CILT for over 30 years and I am a Fellow of the Institute. For the last 4 years I have been a member of the CILT (UK) Board of Trustees which I have enormously enjoyed. I also sit on the ‘Aspire’ Charitable Careers Foundation Committee as nominated by the main board.

I have spent my entire working life in the transport and logistics sector, starting as an engineer and then moving on to commercial and operational roles, all at board level. I have covered all modes of transport from public transport to container shipping, parcels, and road transport.

My wealth of industry experience made me uniquely qualified to sit on the main board of CILT (UK), and now as an International Vice President, allows me to take an active role preparing the Institute for the future.

I believe that the best way to do this is to ensure our training and educational work evolves as new sectors emerge and technology changes the way we work. Only by staying on the cutting edge will the Institute remain relevant and continue to give members the world class support CILT is famous for.

Having had a very successful career in the transport industry, I am keen to help others do the same, and am very much looking forward to being involved and making my own contribution to CILT International.
