My journey as a logistician has provided me with immense exposure to this fascinating industry which continues to evolve in the face of many setbacks.

Having co-founded Freight Links International in 1992 , I have been a past Chairman of Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association and am proud to have initiated the formation of its training institute, Academy for International Trade and Transport.

I have been a Council Member and former President of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Air Cargo Associations (FAPAA), a Council Member of the Air Freight Institute of FIATA, the world’s governing body of the freight forwarding industry and have also served in the IATA/FIATA Consultative Committee.

I was privileged to serve as the Chairman of CILT Sri Lanka from 2014 to 2016 and saw a great combination of professionals and practitioners from both the public and private sectors coming together to cater to the ever growing needs and opportunities in the Logistics industry in Sri Lanka. I was equally pleased to see the promising Next Generation talent raising the bar and dynamic female participation and drive in the form of WILAT. As an OPM graduate from the Harvard Business School and a Harvard Alumni, I am now proud and keen to share my knowledge and experience for the development of transport and logistics professionals across the South Asia region.

I  look forward to serving in my new role as International Vice President to help CILT in its’ quest for excellence in transport and logistics management.
