I am pleased to be part of the Global WiLAT Steering Committee (GSC) as Vice Chairperson for South Asia. I started my CILT journey 7 years ago as the first treasurer to WiLAT Sri Lanka in 2013, and was also Vice Chairperson responsible for branding and sponsorship. I am a chartered member, and currently serve on the CILT council. In 2019 I was elected as WiLAT chairperson Sri Lanka. During my WiLAT journey  I have been able to share knowledge and experience, emphasizing the WiLAT four strategic thrusts of Leadership, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Mentorship. I am proud to have been part of a team creating awareness on career opportunities in the industry, providing networking opportunities to share best practices, and providing training and mentoring opportunities to make a positive impact in the industry through diversity. I enjoyed contributing to the WiLAT core vision, and to the development of the CILT and WiLAT membership base in Sri Lanka.

I am a science graduate and hold a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). I have served as a logistician for over 14 years. I served 9 years and headed Logistics at Unilever Sri Lanka, responsible for end to end logistics and customer service functions. I am former head of contract warehousing and 3PL at Spectra Logistics (Pvt) LTD, one of the largest 3rd Party Logistics service provider in Sri Lanka. Currently I am working as a consultant in supply chain.

CILT has given me a great opportunity to grow, to achieve my career objectives and to mould myself as a bold supply chain professional. CILT has created a great platform, and it helped me to promote the logistics industry in my country, and to create new horizons as a female trailblazer.

My passion is to work in partnership to unlock more opportunities for WiLAT as a sustainable, reliable, and stable forum of CILT.
